How do you wash your windows? Do you use a towel? Perhaps paper towels? That's what I've been doing for awhile now, and I don't like it. The towels leave those little fuzzies all over the window. So although I have a streak free, finger print free window - I've also got a fuzzy window. As I was looking at our big sliding glass door yesterday, I was trying to think of how to overcome this problem. And then it dawned on me (just in time for tuesday tips too!) NEWSPAPER! That's right, use some newspaper. I remember my mom doing that as a kid, and it was for the sole purpose of getting rid of the fuzzies. I can't believe I didn't remember this sooner. I've got a box (big box!) full of newspaper. I was waiting for a good time to find a recycling center somewhere, but I think using them on my windows will be a much quicker way of getting through that box.
So has anyone else used newspaper to clean their windows? If not, do you have a fuzzy problem, or do you have another way of combating that? I'd love to hear!
I use newspapers too! I also use vinegar and water mixed together in a spray bottle. No streaks and it works great!
ReplyDeleteNew follower ~ you found me last week during Dear Crissy's WW linky and left such a kind comment about my little one.

AEK, your daughter is really adorable! I've got 3 girls myself. I love reading about other moms with girls :)
ReplyDeleteI'll have to try that vinegar mixture! Thanks for the tip.
I use newspaper too. I don't know why it works so well, but it does!
ReplyDeleteMy mother and my grandmothers all used newspaper. I use microfibers. They don't leave fuzzies, but the trick with microfibers is to be sure to wash them only with other microfibers or they pick up the lint of other fabrics and then they're rendered ineffective.
