I have been sick for exactly one week now. Somedays I think YES! I’m getting better! and then it takes a downturn again. Currently I seem to have lost some hearing on my right side, which is quite an interesting effect. To make myself feel a little better, I’ve been browsing your recipes, and pulled four to feature this week that speak total comfort to me.

Oh so many good recipes were shared last week. I finally narrowed it down to some Halloween goodies to feature for you. I’ve pulled my minimal Halloween decor out this week, and the kids are raving about our Family Costume idea. We’re going as the emotions from Inside Out. Since there’s 6 of us though, and only 5 emotions I’ll be dressing up as Bing Bong. I’m pretty stoked about how it’s coming together, and can’t wait to show you later this month.

Fall is here ya’ll! Autumn is my favorite season of all! The leaves change color, the weather is a perfect blend of cool and warm. You can still play outside, then cuddle up under a blanket with a cup of cocoa or a bowl of soup to warm up in the evenings. The first day of fall was on Wednesday, and that has me all kinds of happy! So this week, enjoy the fall flavors.

Is anyone else just go go go right now? I feel there’s hardly a minute to just relax. Our dinners have been quite interesting as I try to get back on a schedule with the kids in school, one at a home, and my own school to get back into as well.

Pardon me while I give a few shouts, and jump for joy – Mark gets home in less than 24 hours – and this time for good! It’s been a long 6 weeks of solo-parenting, making a little too kid friendly meals, and just letting things go that wouldn’t normally. He’s been trained for his new job, and will start that officially Monday, giving us 2 full days to reconnect as a family. YAHOO! We’re ordering sushi tomorrow night, saturday will be an adventure day, and Sunday we get to spend with Mark’s brothers family celebrating the new LDS Indianapolis temple and his nephew’s birthday.

For this week’s features my eyes roamed to those specifically that made me think of Mark. Recipes I could see him truly indulging in with me. So enjoy! And pardon if you don’t see me around social media too much this weekend…or if the opposite happens and I bombard you with photos of the whole family.

What?! School starts in a mere 2 1/2 weeks here. I can’t wait for the kids to get back and start making new friends. Mark is also gone for training for his new job for a couple more weeks, so having 3 kids in school I think will really help me out. We’ll get back into a good routine, and everyone will be happier to spend time together.

To end the summer though, I think we need a grilling party! So this week I’ve rounded up some grill goodness for you. Enjoy! And if you are featured, don’t forget to grab your button at the bottom!

I am currently having the TIME of My LIFE in South Carolina hanging out with family. Almost all my siblings are here, plus aunts and uncles I haven’t seen for awhile. To top it off I’ve never been to SC before, so I am exploring and enjoying this fun state. I hope you all have had a fantastic week as well, with fun plans for the weekend.
