Rainy Day Fun with Rany Zany

I received product for review from RanyZany and The Social Butterfly Co. All opinions are my own.
I love playing in the rain, and so do the kids! It’s been quite stormy around here this week, but once the downpour let up for a bit, we headed outside for some rainy day fun. It was the perfect time to try out Prince L’s new RanyZany boots.
RanyZany boots make rainy days fun and comfortable (ad)
We live just a bit down the road from a water overflow area (what is that called?!). So when the downpour really hit, it filled fast; and then it overflowed down the stream and into the road. Prince L and Princess R were in little kid heaven. With water almost up to their knees, they had fun wading around and puddle jumping.

We most definitely filled the boots with water in this puddle, but because they have removable sole inserts, I wasn’t too worried about that. Instead we got to focus on the fun of puddles, and the great outdoors. After this puddle Prince L took a moment to pick some flowers for Mom.
    Flowers for Mom
You guys!! This kid is so dang adorable when he smiles and is having fun. I need to remember that when he’s whining for me to hold him all the time. In case you’d like to get this outfit for you child, the shirt and shorts are from Osh Kosh, and the boots – well they’re from RanyZany! It’s a little boy’s dream outfit (and moms too!). Everything is comfortable, full of color and just plain fun to play in.

Oh nope, those flowers weren’t for me! It’s OK, because playing Pooh Sticks in the gutter is pretty fun, and puts a smile on my face just as much as getting flowers.
How do you play in the rain?

    Family Fun at CornBelly’s

*I received tickets to CornBelly’s to facilitate this review. All opinions and fun times are my own*

Family Fun Time!  Last Friday I braved the sudden cold weather and took the kids to CornBelly’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Fest.  I sent Mark off to watch a football game with the guys, and then I picked up my sister to come with me and the kids. What a BLAST!!

Check out all the fun we had, and then enter to win 2 Screamin’ Passes to CornBelly’s at the bottom of the post.
There are so many fun attractions at CornBelly’s. I wasn’t sure where to begin, so we just followed the kids for a bit. What kid can resist big bouncy blow up toys? None that I know of.
    Picture
The Jumbo Jumper Pillow looked like fun, but with the ages of my kids I contained them to the bounce houses.  Call me paranoid, but I didn’t want to start off our fun with an injury.
Princess Playland was an obvious hit with my 3 Princesses. Aunt A kept an eye on Princess R for me, because she was like a kid in a candy store – here, there, over here, that, FUN!
The Princesses loved dressing up and waltzing across the Princess Playland stage. It was made more special when they got to meet the Pumpkin Princess and she helped pick out dresses for them.

Once I pulled the kids away from the Princess party, we decided we should grab some food. I knew the kids would enjoy the hot dogs, but my sister and I went for some warm soup.

Oh my word, this was some really good Corn Chowder!
Finally we headed over to the corn maze! A 12 acre maze of corn featuring the BYU – UofU rivalry.  12 Acre’s is A LOT of corn. We headed in on the BYU side, but quickly found we wouldn’t make it far with our double stroller. I know the older girls would have made it through, but I needed the stroller for the other two, but we encountered a bridge that had to be crossed.
That was a little disappointing, but we found plenty of other fun things to do still – like the cow train (and there is a 5 minute maze easy for kids of all ages).

    and the duck races!
    and horse races!
Looking back I wish I’d bought the Bounce Pack passes as we left, but I wasn’t sure it would fit in our school and work schedule again. I think we could have and should have made room though, since we hardly scraped the surface of everything CornBelly’s has to offer.

    Ultimate Blog Party 2013

    Ultimate Blog Party 2013
    It’s a party, and I’m fashionably late.
First off, thank you UBP party goers for stopping by Home Maid Simple.  Put down those brooms and dusters, hire a maid for the day and let’s party!
I actually debated joining the party this year. I have no idea why I would debate such a thing. I’ve joined the last two years and got to “meet” many fun bloggers, as well as businesses.  In fact you should check out My Sweet Potato 3 etsy shop – last year I won a fun dinosaur hat from her.  Still love it on the little Prince.
So better late then never right?  If you haven’t been by Home Maid Simple before let me show you around.
You should really start with my About Me page.  I’m fun, quirky, but most importantly I’m mom and wife to the best family ever.
Did you read it?  And you came back?  Awesome, you are now my new favorite reader 🙂
Now that you know a little bit more about me, let’s look at this place I call my blog.  I began Home Maid Simple during a tumultuous time in my life.  Mark (aka husband, hubby, handsome) had recently finished school and we were settling into his new job. I had no friends nearby, and was hitting a stage all too familiar in PPD after our 3rd child.  I needed an out – a place I could do something just for me.   Although I really wanted to go back to school myself, it just wasn’t in the car yet.  I looked around, and decided I needed motivation.  Motivation to be a better person, mother, wife, and homemaker.  What better way to do that than share myself with the world.
This blog has grown immensely ever the past 2 1/2 years since it was born. My writing has improved, and I’ve become a better person – truly I have.
While you my readers give me the motivation, you’re probably wondering “what do I get out of this relationship?”
Allow me to show you –
Cool link parties full of yummy food every Friday
    BWS tips button
Extremely fun, and sometimes completely random thoughts on Thursdays….but always thought provoking
And periodically you also get to hear about some awesome companies and receive discounts with the occasional giveaway.
    {hint, now would be a good time to check out the sidebar —-> for my current giveaways}
If you are getting to me late in the party, you may have missed them, but be assured I have an amazing, probably the best giveaway ever coming up end of April…..something like oh a Pfister faucet….shhhh I didn’t say anything yet!
Of course if you missed the giveaways don’t despair!  I do still have a savings opportunity for you.  I mean what’s a party without a little goodie?
Head over to Conscious Box and get 25% off your subscription
    Use code: BESTPLANET
And if that isn’t enough for you, I’ve got 5 invites to give out to a new site called Happify.  It’s the newest social media site all about getting happy and spreading happiness around.  The first 5 comments to request an invite and leave a contact email will be sent the invite.  Happify is still in beta mode, so it is by invite only you can join right now.
Come on all, and let’s get happy!  You better chase all your cares away!
(FYI.. I very periodically break out into song as well.)
