Welcome welcome back! Is anyone else living in a whirlwind of a summer? Time is just speeding past, and I can’t seem to keep up. Thankfully I’ve got all these awesome recipes to browse each week for quick meals that I don’t have to give too much thought to myself.

What?! School starts in a mere 2 1/2 weeks here. I can’t wait for the kids to get back and start making new friends. Mark is also gone for training for his new job for a couple more weeks, so having 3 kids in school I think will really help me out. We’ll get back into a good routine, and everyone will be happier to spend time together.

To end the summer though, I think we need a grilling party! So this week I’ve rounded up some grill goodness for you. Enjoy! And if you are featured, don’t forget to grab your button at the bottom!

I am currently having the TIME of My LIFE in South Carolina hanging out with family. Almost all my siblings are here, plus aunts and uncles I haven’t seen for awhile. To top it off I’ve never been to SC before, so I am exploring and enjoying this fun state. I hope you all have had a fantastic week as well, with fun plans for the weekend.

How’s your summer going? Mine is just flying by! I spent 2 hours registering the kids for their new school yesterday. I still need to bring in the pertinent info like immunization records and birth certificates, but then they will be ready to start a new year with new friends. School here starts almost a month earlier then North Dakota, so we are definitely packing in the fun while we can.

Today’s adventure was blueberry picking with some cousins. 7lbs of blueberries later, and I obviously have some baking to do.

Since my mind is on all those blueberries, what better recipes to feature than more blueberries! Enjoy.

I’m so sorry I don’t have features for you this week. I’ve had time to browse over your links, but with our move to Indiana this week, I just could not keep up! The joys of moving, are numerous…er, perhaps the stresses. I try to find the joys instead though. We currently have no hot water, the gas will be turned on Monday. I took a brisk shower this morning as it was definitely a need before heading out to the public. Internet at the house won’t be turned on until next Friday! I try not to live my life completely online, but I do use it for a good portion – like this blog (which happens to be a significant income), as well as my schoolwork. I was taking this week off already, but I must get back into school next week.

Such is life though. We have an amazing backyard, and front yard. The school is a 2 minute walk down the road, and I’m close to just about everything I could possibly ever need for shopping yet with a country feel to the neighborhood. Today’s highlight was this find at a yard sale for $25. I think we finally have a table I will consider moving with us (of course I don’t plan on moving again anytime soon).

When it comes to moving, the least favorite part (and really I don’t enjoy most of it, lol), is cleaning out the fridge. Currently I’ve got a half gallon of milk, some sour cream, lots of eggs, and condiments. Oh so many condiments! I’ve been racking my brain what to do with these things, and I just don’t know. On top of that, we still have 3 days in this house, and I don’t know what we’re gonna eat, because I refuse to shop right now – you would too.

Today my diet has consisted mostly of oatmeal butterscotch chocolate cookies, bread with jam, and some cereal. Tonight, we might toss some pasta together…or go out. So while going through your recipes from last week, I found myself seriously salivating and wishing I could just go cook something up. Ah, there will be so many good meals once we get to our new home in Indiana – until then I’ll do a little foodgawking, and YUM your recipes!

Last Sunday I woke up, and thought “Shoot! It’s Fathers Day and I forgot to get something!” Lucky for me, I was a week early, giving me plenty of time to procrastinate some more on this Fathers Day thing. Err, I mean totally check out your recipes to find the PERFECT meal to show Mark how much we love him. The kids have made some surprises for him, and I’ve told him he can start looking at a new car for him.

This weeks features are all recipes I know Mark would love to see grace our table. His love of Pork, Udon Noodles, and a serious sweet tooth, I know these would make for an extra special Fathers Day fare in our home.

YAY it’s the weekend! School has been out for a full week, and we’ve survived…so far! There’s oh so much going on in our life right now, but the biggest may include trading in our camping trip for another move. This time it looks like we’re headed to Indiana – I’ll let you know for sure though when that happens.

Since we may have to skip our big camping trip, I still want to enjoy some S’mores with the kids. The great thing is, with so many creative minds out there, s’mores are no longer a campfire only treat. Last week I shared our Mini S’mores Pies with you, and then a few of you shared your twists on this classic with me. To keep us well balanced though, enjoy the green smoothie feature as well.

June is going to be all about camping around here. We’re planning a camping trip with Mark’s brother for end of the month, beginning of July, and I am just so stoked! Growing up with 50 acres of woods, we camped a lot in our backyard just to get out of the house, and have something to do as a family. It always brought us closer together.

This week’s features, while not specifically for camping, would make some great camp food! Enjoy!
